Your support to the East of England Ambulance Service Charity could be life saving

The East of England Ambulance Service Charity raises funds to support volunteers, staff, and local communities in ways above and beyond that which NHS funding can ordinarily provide such as community life saving education programmes run by EEAST Heart.  

EEAST Heart was set up to build a network of community educators to train the public in basic life support (BLS) skills.

Ron Ridge, volunteer EEAST Heart Lead said “It's an amazing thing to help save a life, and EEAST Heart is the initiative that we have that really does make a difference.”

Their aim is to teach as many members of the public as possible an awareness of what to do in a medical emergency, what actions to take and when, and to give them the courage to make potentially life changing decisions to help those who need it most. 

The BLS awareness courses run by EEAST Heart are free and are accessible to all. However, there are costs behind running these life saving courses which is funded by the East of England Ambulance Service Charity.

BLS Training Session Costings:
£340 - AED Trainer device
£200 - CPR Manikin
£35 - AED Trainer pads (annually)
£10 – Infection Prevention kit (Gloves / Clinelle Wipes / Alcohol Hand Gel)
£5 – Pocket Mask
£1 – Stationary essentials
FREE – Our incredible volunteers dedicate their time free of charge to support EEAST Heart training.

Other costs – these are often provided by either EEAST Heart, by the trainer or by the group being trained.
