I joined the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) back in 2022 having reached a crossroad in my career as a safeguarding officer. I had always liked the idea of working for the emergency services as I love helping people in anyway I can, so when I saw the role of make ready operative being advertised I just went for it and I’m so happy I did!
I love every aspect of my role – I get to be with the most amazing, caring people on a daily basis, but most importantly I’m part of a fantastic team who get ambulances ready so that crews can go out and attend the most poorly patients. This is just one of the reasons I feel very proud and privileged to be part of EEAST.
