Save lives through education with StayWise

EEAST has collaborated with StayWise to help provide vital educational tools to ensure that children know exactly what to do in an emergency in a fun and informative way.

StayWise is a free digital, safety education library brought to you by the UK emergency services and a number of national safety organisations. The website is full of resources that advance children’s understanding of public safety issues linked to the national curriculum, helping children and young people learn about safety in an accessible way

Led by the National Fire Chiefs Council, StayWise brings together fire and rescue services, police forces, ambulance services, and the coastguard with national safety charities like the Royal National Lifeboat Institute, the Royal Life Saving Society, and the Injury Minimisation Programme for Schools.

StayWise makes it easy for teachers, home-schooling parents, and community educators to teach young people about safety whilst meeting the needs of the national curriculum. The safety messages contained in each resource helps bring learning to life by using real world problems to meet the curriculum needs of schools and young people.
